Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga.

Curious about Ashtanga yoga but not sure where to start? This six week course is designed to guide you through the foundations in a supportive, accessible way.

Starting Monday April 13th

5:30pm – 6:30pm

$22 casual

(Class passes can be used.)

You can join in at any time. Classes do not need to be consecutive.

Ashtanga yoga is a traditional, structured practice that links breath with movement in a set sequence of postures. Often described as a moving meditation, it builds strength, flexibility, focus, and resilience, both physically and mentally.

The Primary Series of Ashtanga is also known as Yoga Chikitsa, meaning yoga therapy, designed to detoxify and align the body while supporting overall health and wellbeing.

Over the six weeks, you’ll learn:

– The foundations of breath (ujjayi) and how to move with it

– Key postures from the Primary Series

– How to safely build strength and mobility

– The rhythm and flow that makes Ashtanga so unique

– Modifications to suit your body and experience level

This course is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of the practice in a progressive, step-by-step way.

Expect a grounded, supportive space where you can move, learn, and connect back to your breath.
