THE INTELLIGENCE OF PROPS - A WORKSHOP

Props in Yoga are far more than just support tools. when used intelligently they can completely transform the way we move, feel and understand our practice.

Blocks, straps, bolsters and the wall can help create awareness, build strength and teach actions that are often missed in a fast-paced class.

They give feedback, encourage better alignment and can help you experience poses with more clarity and control.

In vinyasa, props can be especially powerful for:
• Activating legs and deep core muscles
• Understanding shoulder engagement in weight-bearing poses
• Learning lift and compression for floats and transitions
• Assisting jump forwards and jump backs
• Improving balance and stability
• Finding more length and space in the spine
• Creating support in resting and restorative poses

Using props isn’t about making yoga “easier” it’s about practicing with more intelligence, awareness and purpose.

Sometimes the smallest adjustment with a block or strap can completely change how a pose feels in the body.

This two hour workshop with studio owner Deb, dives deeper into the use of props - it’s place in yogic history, exploration and learning new ways to make your practice more easeful for you!

Yoga Nidra through the Chakras

Yoga Nidra Through the Chakras

Join me after class on Saturday, June 27th or simply come along for the Yoga Nidra session on its own.

In celebration of International Yoga Day, (which is Sunday the 21st) I'll be guiding a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra journey through the seven chakras.

No movement, flexibility, or previous experience is required. Simply lie down comfortably, get cosy, and allow yourself to be guided through a practice designed to calm the mind, relax the body, and restore your energy.

Yoga Nidra is often described as "yogic sleep” a powerful state of conscious relaxation that offers the deep rest so many of us are craving.

When: Saturday, June 27th

Time: 10.15am – 11.00am
